Located just two blocks from Nehalem Bay and just a few minutes drive to coveted Manzanita Beach and other beaches, hiking trails, kayaking, restaurants, the Nehalem Winery, and all that Nehalem has to offer, including some of the best crabbing and fishing in the state! There is a fully equipped kitchen with an eating bar that opens to the dining area, which in turn opens right up to a fenced backyard (up to two dogs allowed!) and patio with a fire pit/grill and a hot tub! This popular presentation dives into all the ways that we engage with music – learning to play an instrument, composing, improvising, performing, and listening – and how each activity changes the brain. The presentation also examines the origins of music, and, through neuroscience research and the experiences of professional musicians, explores the best ways to learn and teach music. Dr. Sherman will come to your school, business, home or other venue at a date to be arranged.
